About Cub Scout Pack 207

The Committee and Leaders of Cub Scout Pack 207 are committed to providing a quality, year-round program of Cub Scouting activities and we invite new boys to visit and consider joining anytime during the year. The boys participate in a variety of activities both in their own age-specific Dens and as a whole Pack. Through Cub Scouting, we teach good citizenship, community involvement, leadership skills, the importance of good values and family, environmentalism, and a wide range of scouting skills from simple first aid to outdoor skills.

As a Pack, we must be chartered from the Boy Scouts of America by a local organization. These can be churches, professional organizations, government bodies, or educational, civic, business, labor, or citizens’ groups. Since 1989 Pack 207 has been chartered by the Easthampton Police Association. We will be celebrating our nineteenth year of Cub Scouting in Easthampton in 2008. We proudly serve in the Metacomet District of the Great Trails Council as an official unit of the Boy Scouts of America. We are located in Easthampton, Massachusetts and hold our monthly Pack Meetings at the Saint Philips Church Hall.

Pack 207 has a very active program. We have received the Quality Unit award for each of the last ten years and during those years we have had a number of Cub Scouts who have earned the Summertime Pack Award for staying active in scouting right through the summer.

Also, we have had a strong commitment by our volunteer leaders to become recognized as ‘trained’ through attending council sponsored, official, BSA training sessions. For a Cub Scout leader to be considered "trained" and to wear the Trained badge on his/her uniform, the leader must complete three training session that cover information about their leadership position, highlights about the values, aims, history, funding and methods of Scouting and how they are reached with an age-appropriate style in Cub Scouting. We hope that you will consider becoming a volunteer or supporter of Cub Scouting and Pack 207.
